Things to do in Toronto
Toronto is one of the most modern cities in Canada and there are many things to do in this big city. There are 10 airports in the Greater Toronto Area. Pearson, Waterloo, Billy Bishop and Hamilton have scheduled passenger service; however, the vast majority of passenger traffic goes through Toronto's Pearson International Airport, which is Canada's busiest airport and the country's major hub. This Toronto guide will show you the most popular and interesting activities so you won't miss out on anything.
Toronto Island Park
This Island Park is about 30 minutes by ferry from Toronto. The island is very nice and full of nature, its perfect to go for a picnic or a nice walk. The cost of the ferry ride is around 7 CAD. From the boat you'll get a beautiful view of Toronto skyline. In the island there’s lots of beautiful parks and beach areas so bring a swimming suit just in case.
Cn Tower
Cn Tower is a "must do" in Toronto. The view of the city is spectacular. If you have the money, you should have dinner at the 360 revolving restaurant which requires reservation in advance. It’s a bit expensive but its worth it. The queues are very long, about one hour, therefore an online booking would save you some time. The cost is around 35 CAD per person for the first dock and a few more to climb a bit higher.
Niagara falls
Niagara falls is located about 2 hours from Toronto and it's one of the “must see” around the world. I would recommend you to stay 1 night in the town of Niagara falls which has many restaurants and many tourist things to do such as boat rides, mini golf, sky wheel, casino, haunted house and much more. The waterfalls wont disappoint you, they are majestic, romantic and free!
Casa Loma
Casa Loma is such an amazing little castle. I love the fact it is a self guiding tour so you can take your time to enjoy this attraction. There’s a lot to see and explore. The garden is a wonderful and very majestic. The price for admission to Casa Loma is about 24 CAD with the self guided tour included.
Sandbanks Provincial Park
If you want to see one of the most beautiful beaches in Ontario, you should visit Sandbanks Provincial Park. This beach is located 2 hours from Toronto. The sand is beautiful and soft. The water is a gorgeous blue-green with waves. This beach is truly Ontario’s hidden little gem. The entrance is 17 CAD per car so you can split the cost between the passengers. Just remember that alcohol is not allowed on the beach in Ontario and there’s police patrolling the beach at all times.
